New Student Housing Application

Go to https://mtholyoke-residence.symplicity.com/ in your web browser of choice. 

Select Resident and log in using your Mount Holyoke userID and password – the same one you use for your MHC email. (Example: smith33c)

Once logged in, you will see your Residence home page. From there, you should click on the “Get Started” button under the Applications section to start your new student housing request. You will be presented with the two parts of this process, the second part being optional.

You MUST complete Part 1 and submit it by the deadline. If you have a roommate you would like to live with already in mind, you and your roommate should form an optional Roommate Group. You can change, create and join these roommate groups as you prefer up until the deadline. You can also browse the profiles of other students and connect with someone else you feel is a good match to see if they would like to be roommates.

To live with someone you already know, you should be in communication with them and share your unique Roommate Code, available at the very top right of your screen, underneath your name. When you share that code with another student, they can request to be roommates with you. You can leave that group up until the deadline. Groups should not be bigger than 3 people as we are trying to eliminate quad rooms. If you form a group of 3, you will be placed in a triple room.

To try to find your own roommate, you can browse the profiles available or filter for things that are very important to you, such as how they feel about guests in the room or whether or not they smoke. These profiles are not associated with a name, so you can send a message in the system inviting them to view your profile and see if they’d like to be roommates.

This Roommate Group part is completely optional! If you do not have a roommate in mind, we will pair you based on your preferences. If you do not want to identify your own roommate, then you can skip the Roommate Group section of the application.

Don’t forget, you must have completed and submitted your application by June 24, 2017. You can submit it at any time and still utilize the Roommate Group feature, but those groups must be completed by June 24, 2017 as well. At that time we will lock the groups and we will not be able to make any changes.
