Don't Forget to Register!

If you have not done so already, please register to stay on campus during Spring Break. You can register by logging in to my.mtholyoke. Your Registration must be completed by March 12, 2020.

Meals

The Dining Commons will be open over Spring Break at the times listed below. Please note, not all stations will be opened during these days. Students can use a Board Swipe (full board plan only), Dining Dollars, MHCXpress, or Cash.

  • Friday, March 13 - dining will close at 10 pm
  • Saturday, March 14 - Saturday, March 21 - dining will be open the following hours with limited stations:
    • Breakfast 7:15-9 am
    • Lunch 11:30 am-1:30 pm
    • Dinner 5-7 pm
  • Sunday, March 22 - dining will resume normal hours
    • 7:15 am-4 pm and 5 pm-12 am

The Cochary Pub & Kitchen will be closed over Spring Break at the times listed below:

  • Friday, March 13 - closes at 4 pm
  • Monday, March 23 - pub will resume normal hours

Transportation to the Grocery Store & Mall

Sunday March 15, 2020: Shuttle to Holyoke Mall, departing from Blanchard Bus Stop. (Tickets on a first come first serve, 32 passenger capacity)

  • Departure from Blanchard Bus Stop: 11:30 am, 12:30 pm
  • Returning to campus JCPenney:  3 pm, 4 pm

Monday March 16, 2020: Shuttle to Big Y, departing from Blanchard Bus Stop at 1:30 pm and ending at 3:30 pm. (First come first serve, 32 passenger capacity)

  • Departure from Blanchard Bus Stop: 1:30 pm, 2 pm, 2:30 pm, 3 pm, 3:30 pm
  • Returning to campus: 2:15 pm, 2:45 pm, 3:15 pm, 3:45 pm, 4:15pm

Events

Res Life and Student Program Staff are planning some fun events during these days of break to keep you entertained and building community!

Monday, March 16

Crafternoon! Stop by Blanchard Great Room at 2 pm on Monday, March 16 for an afternoon of DIY flower pot painting! Snacks will be provided.

Tuesday, March 17

Pancake Tuesday! Stop by the Mead Golden Pear for green pancakes to celebrate St. Patrick's Day! Event will run from 10 am-12 pm.

Wednesday, March 18

Make your own trailmix! Stop by the Dining Commons Atrium at noon to make your own bag of trailmix!

Thursday, March 19

Flayvors Trip! Take a fleet van to Flayvors to pet the cows and get yourself some ice cream!

Friday, March 20

Spa Day! Stop by Mead at 2 pm on Friday for an afternoon of nail painting and DIY crafts. Fruit and tea will be provided.

Limited Campus Resources

Many offices on campus are closed or working with minimal staff over the break. If you have an emergency, you should contact Public Safety and Service at (413) 538-2304 as they are open 24 hours, 7 days a week. There is always a Professional Staff member on call in case of emergency. You can contact them through Public Safety and Service by requesting to speak with the Professional Staff on Call should you need their assistance.

  • Friday, March 13: Building open 7 am-10 pm.
  • Building open Saturday, March 14 & Sunday March 15: 7 am-9 pm.
  • Building open Monday, March 16-Friday March 20: 7 am-9 pm
  • Building open Saturday, March 21 & Sunday March 22: 9 am-9 pm.
  • Regular hours resume on Monday, March 23 at 7 am.

Library and Technology Hours

  • Friday, March 13: 8 am-5 pm
  • Saturday, March 14-Sunday, March 15: closed
  • Monday, March 16-Friday March 20: 8:30 am-5 pm

The Frances Perk Cafe

Health Services and Counseling Center Hours and Information

Health Services

The Health Center will be closed starting Friday, March 13 at 4 pm. There will be no medical services provided on campus. This includes the Health Center, Alcohol and Drug Awareness Program.

There will be a medical clinician on call from 4 pm on Friday until 8 am on Monday, March 23, 2020. Students can call 413-538-2242 to speak with a clinician. Students can also use cab services provided by the college to reach Urgent Care or the ER if needed.

Counseling Services

Counseling Services will close at 5 pm on March 13. They will resume regular hours at 8:30 am on March 23. Their 24/7 care and support line (students can talk to a live clinician who can contact campus staff as needed) can be reached at (413) 538-2037.
