Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
The FAFSA is used to determine eligibility for federal financial aid including grant and loan assistance. If you are applying for federal aid only you do not need to file the PROFILE (see below). We recommend that you file the FAFSA online by April 15th and after federal taxes have been filed so you may choose the IRS data retrieval option.

Noncustodial PROFILE*
The PROFILE is used to determine eligibility for need based institutional financial aid. If you are applying for federal aid only you do not need to file the PROFILE. File the PROFILE online by April 15th so that we will receive it by the May 1 deadline.

Federal Tax Forms -& Supplemental Forms***
Tax returns are not required from all students and may be required if you are applying for federal aid only. Students should sign in to Financial Aid Online to review document requirements.
If returns are required submit them to IDOC after receipt of email notification from the College Board. If tax transcripts are required they may be submitted directly to our office.

*The Noncustodial PROFILE is required from all students whose biological or adoptive parents are not married to each other unless the parents are living together. In that case, parents should complete the PROFILE and include both parents' financial information.
** Supplemental Forms May include: Corporate tax returns, if applicable, verification worksheets.
