Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
The FAFSA is used to determine eligibility for federal financial aid. If you are applying for federal aid only, the PROFILE is not required.

The PROFILE is used to determine eligibility for need based institutional financial aid. If applying for federal aid only, the PROFILE is not required. 

Noncustodial PROFILE*

Federal Tax Return
All schedules and W-2s; Include corporate returns if applicable. (Tax year 2014 is required for spring semester 2016 transfer applicants; tax year 2015 for fall transfers applying for the 2016-17 academic year. )

Upload all required federal tax and verification documents to IDOC. (IDOC for spring semester 2016 transfer applicants is available now; IDOC begins 2/1/2016 for transfers applying for the 2016-17 academic year.)

* The Noncustodial PROFILE is required from students whose biological or adoptive parents are not married to each other unless the parents are living together. In that case, financial information from both parents should be included on the PROFILE.
