Academic focus: chemistry major and a physics minor

Research group: Jayathilake Lab

I am currently working as a technical research assistant at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. My research mainly focuses on the immunohistochemical analysis of various biomarkers in renal cell carcinoma.

Prior to working here, I did my undergraduate thesis on the self-assembly of silver nanorods at Mount Holyoke College with Himali Jayathilake.

As a chemistry major, not only did I have the opportunity to take a wide range of courses that prepared me to work in a highly interdisciplinary research field, but I was also able to participate in an independent research project that was driven by and cultivated my curiosity for the unknown.

I am truly grateful for my experience as a chemistry major at Mount Holyoke.
