Graduate program: Medical Student, Class of 2016, University of Florida College of Medicine

I am currently in my third year of medical school at the University of Florida. My clinical rotations require a lot of self-learning, and the skills I acquired in my higher level biochemistry classes helped me feel comfortable with researching and learning on my own.

The first two years of medical school focus on basic and applied clinical science material, and the classes I took as a biochemistry major laid a solid foundation.

The skills I learned in Professor Nunez's lab also helped me navigate the clinical research on operative teams and pain management that I participated in the summer after my first year.
