Evgenia Sokolova is Co-Founder of Aktivera - an impact advisory firm that builds climate-resilient value chains along the clean energy-water-food nexus. Ms. Sokolova has implemented projects and advised companies across the renewable energy spectrum, together with partners such as Embark Energy and Winrock International. Her most recent work focuses on deploying clean energy for productive uses in agriculture and water, like solar water pumping, solar drying and chilling. Genia's passion is in applying her acquired business acumen to building enterprises that generate social and environmental impact. Her secret dream is to one day share those inspiring stories encountered out in the field by making documentaries.  Prior to development work, Ms. Sokolova was Vice President at JP Morgan Chase, responsible for Credit Portfolio Management and Research in Natural Resources. Evgenia holds a BA in Economics from Mount Holyoke and an MPA in Development Practice from Columbia University.
