Stage Crew Support For Chapin & Blanchard, and Outdoor Venues
For registered student events in Chapin Auditorium and Blanchard Campus Center, and for outdoor events most technical/Stage Crew (Sound & Lighting) support is offered at no charge through the Office of Student Involvement. This service includes most sound & lighting equipment and trained student Stage Crew for your event, as well as assistance with additional production needs.
Offerings are limited to the equipment owned by Student Involvement, and in some cases you may be referred to outside sources for rentals and services. While in the early stages of planning your event, consult with the Technical Director & Production Manager about your stage needs.
Media Services / LITS
For classroom type events most audio/visual needs are serviced by LITS/Media Services Department. This would include standard classroom programs like lectures and screenings - not customized events like musical programs, theater or socials (see Stage Crew below). Classroom services will be booked for you when you complete your Event Registration Form (ERF) on time. If staffing assistance is needed, or items not typically already set up in the hall you are using it is recommended that you follow up with Media Services after your registration is filed.
Media Services also provides limited audio, visual and media loaner equipment for academic use and select student events. A valid MHC ID is necessary to check out equipment. Reserved equipment can be picked up at the circulation desk. To borrow equipment please use the on-line form to begin your request. Telephone requests cannot be accepted. Media Services does not deliver equipment.
