A roundtable discussion with Mary Worthy, principal of the DeBerry Elementary School in Springfield, Tara Karr '01, a teacher at the  Gorse Child Study Center at Mount Holyoke, and Laurie Denis FP'05, teacher at the Roger L. Putnam Vocational Technical High School in Springfield.  Our seminar will focus on the politics and possibilities of teaching, current challenges to public education, and issues of educational advocacy.

An afternoon seminar and conversation with filmmaker and writer Rory Kennedy about the fields of investigative journalism and documentary filmmaking.  Ms. Kennedy, co-founder and co-president of Moxie Firecracker Films, has become one of the nation’s leading documentary filmmaker and her works focus on pressing humanitarian, social, and environmental issues.
