Abby Wambach is one of the world’s greatest players of all time. She is the #1 all-time leading scorer in international soccer history with 184 career goals. She is long known as one of the most intense competitors in the U.S. history whose years of clutch goal scoring made her a fan favorite. She led the USA in scoring in the 2008 and 2011 Women’s World Cup tournaments, and the 2004 and 2012 Olympics (She missed Beijing 2008 due to a broken leg).

Abby is the leading voice for women’s sports as well as for her generation of female soccer players and athletics. Her leadership on and off the field is an inspiration to millions. An ambassador for Right to Play and USAID among other organizations, her leadership will continue to motivate and encourage others for years to come. Abby is the youngest of seven children and claims she got her “toughness” from her four older brothers.
