  • Visiting Lecturer in Mathematics
Vincent Ferlini - a white male wearing a blue shirt and smiling - on the Mount Holyoke campus in 2023.

Vince has taught mathematics (and sometimes physics) for over 40 years in diverse settings. He is particularly devoted to working with students inside and outside the classroom. Vince’s current work involves convincing students to read articles, independent of any course, from general interest mathematics journals and give presentations on them at math conferences. These articles and ideas from other sources often lead to research projects for the students with the express aim of publishing their work in journals like those mentioned previously. Over the past 15 years, eight of his mentored student projects have been published.
