Internships through the LAPS Program

Through the Leadership and Public Service (LAPS) Program, students can intern at the offices of elected officials, as well as non-profit organizations in the Pioneer Valley that are working on policy at state and national levels on issues such as media reform, government transparency, and social and economic justice for women and families. Students will engage in substantive positions including research, writing, communications, and constituent services. Students will be required to work with the sponsoring organization in delineating a learning agreement and a specific work plan for their internship. The Weissman Center will provide support to students throughout their internship experience.

Applications for LAPS internships are made available on the Student Employment System, Job X.
