Mission:

The area of Community Standards is committed to fostering an environment where education, restoration and growth intertwine. Our goal is to help students and student organizations comprehend the impact of their actions, champion the alignment of their personal values with our community's ideals of Responsibility, Honor & Respect, and equip individuals/groups with resources to mend the tapestry of our community when harm has been experienced.

The Honor Code

Academic Honor Board Alleged Violation Report

The Academic Honor Board (AHB) fortifies the College's commitment to academic integrity. A faculty committee with student representation reviews and adjudicates alleged violations of the honor code, ensuring consistency in interpretation, swift and impartial review of alleged infractions, and fair and equitable sanctions for confirmed violations. The AHB also serves as a resource for students, faculty, and administrators when questions concerning the interpretation of the academic honor code arise, regardless of whether an infraction is believed to have occurred. The AHB is distinct both in composition and purpose from the Honor Code Council, which is a student disciplinary board tasked with reviewing alleged violations of the honor code relating to social conduct.

Bias Reporting Form

This form is intended to collect instances of insensitivity, bias, and discrimination that occurs at Mount Holyoke. The College will use information provided in this form to monitor the campus climate, inform training, program planning, and policy development. The form will be received by the Bias Education and Support Team. We will determine which office is best suited to help, and someone from that office will reach back out to you confidentially.

Even if you are unsure whether the incident involved bias, please go ahead and fill out our form anyway. We want to know what happened, and we’ll work with you on next steps.

Care and support referral

Mount Holyoke College seeks to foster a climate of safety and wellbeing that requires the involvement of all community members. To facilitate this process, this report has been provided to encourage faculty, staff, students, and other community members to report observed behavior that warrants concern for the safety of the community and/or the safety of an individual. Perhaps a typically outgoing student has recently become solitary or withdrawn, or maybe a neighbor has demonstrated atypical behavior or choices. Submitting a Care and Support Report is a demonstration of your care for the student-- it's a compassionate decision to bring professional care to a person in need when assistance is required beyond that which a friend can (or should) provide. This form is for NON-EMERGENCY reporting. If this is an emergency, please call Mount Holyoke College Public Safety and Service at 413-538-2304 or x2304 from a campus phone.

Incident Report

This form may be used by any person to report an incident on campus or involving a Mount Holyoke College student. They are a vital method of obtaining information on incidents, concerns, or patterns of behavior.

Honor Code Council Complaint Report

This form may be used by any student to report an incident involving an alleged non-academic violation by an active Mount Holyoke College student of the Mount Holyoke College Honor Code.
