Corwyn Ross

Ross (they, them, theirs) is the Accommodation Coordinator for Disability Services and has been working in the office since 2021. Within their role, Ross conducts intake and accommodation appointments with students and assists students, faculty, and campus partners with the implementation of accommodations on campus. They are also their office's point person for external-to-the-office college relations, collaborations, and trainings.

Ross aims to help all Mount Holyoke students equitably learn, engage, and thrive throughout their time at the College. They also oversee the Disability Services Peer Fellows program, supervising student workers on events and programming, resource development, and peer support. An offshoot of this is their Peer Connect Program, matching peer mentors with a mentee, reducing feelings of overwhelm and isolation while centering community care and disability pride opportunities through shared experiences.

Ross's work with students is rooted in transparency, autonomy and self-determination, valuing student experience and voice, and recognizing small and meaningful moments.

Outside of work, Ross is companioned with their cat Figgy Pudding, does textiles repair on a sliding scale commission, creates practical items with reclaimed fabric, watches game, puzzle and mystery shows, historical dramas (good and bad) and enjoys living in their semi-rural community.

They graduated from Hampshire College with a B.A. that focused on philosophies and design methods of education, work, and community. They're considering graduate programs in vocational rehabilitation, disability studies, occupational therapy, and higher education.
