Danetta L. Beaushaw ’88

Danetta L. Beaushaw ’88, New Orleans, Louisiana, has enjoyed a 30+ year career as an energy attorney and is currently responsible for the development, construction and finance of ENGIE’s grid-scale solar and battery projects in the western United States. She has served on nonprofit boards for the Epilepsy Foundation of Texas (Houston), The Women’s Resource of Greater Houston and a Shelter for Cancer Families.

Beaushaw graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in politics from Mount Holyoke and received a J.D. from the University of Michigan. She is a longtime MHC volunteer, having served on several of the Alum Association’s committees, including the Executive Committee, Nominating Committee (chair), Alum Trustee Nominating Committee and External Achievement Awards Committee. She also volunteers as a career mentor and first-generation mentor for the College and serves on the Mount Holyoke Fund Committee. She received the Association’s Medal of Honor and Loyalty Awards for service to Mount Holyoke.
