Kathleen Scott

Kathy Scott is a Mathematics Instructional Leadership Specialist working in Springfield, MA public schools. She coaches educators, helping them implement impactful teaching strategies to help all learners develop conceptual understanding of mathematics. Kathy also works to ensure educators develop their own understanding of math concepts. She has a passion for empowering educators and helping them develop efficacy and confidence around the teaching of mathematics. Kathy has provided professional development at both the school and district levels for over 20 years. Her focus is concentrated on understanding the teaching and learning of the Massachusetts Mathematics Framework's content and process standards, as well as working within the Math Recovery Framework which allows for tiered instruction based on students' needs.
