Shoba Narayan ’87, MHC Shakti Founding Partner

Shoba Narayan is an award-winning author and columnist. She is the author of four books: "Kathã: Tell a Story, Sell a Dream," "Monsoon Diary: A Memoir With Recipes,"  "Return to India: A Memoir," and "The Cows of Bangalore.”

She graduated from the Graduate School of Journalism at Columbia University and is an alumna of Mount Holyoke College and Women’s Christian College.

She writes about food, travel, fashion, art and culture for many publications, including Condé Nast Traveler, The National, Financial Times, Destinasian, Gourmet, Time and Silk Road. She has written for the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Newsweek, Knowledge@Wharton and other publications. She writes a weekly column for Mint Lounge, an Indian business daily, which is affiliated with the Wall Street Journal. She also writes for The National, based in Abu Dhabi.
