Małgorzata Lach

Małgorzata Lach earned a Bachelor of Music degree from Mount Holyoke College as a Frances Perkins scholar, and a Master of Music degree from The Hartt School of Music, University of Hartford. Her journey with the guitar began in her native Poland in middle school, starting with the mandolin and later the guitar. After moving to the U.S., Małgorzata performed in many rock and reggae bands as an electric guitarist and singer. She studied classical guitar privately on Long Island and at MHC; studying with her second classical guitar teacher, Phillip de Fremery, changed the trajectory of her life and work.

Małgorzata teaches classical, acoustic, and electric guitar at MHC, a position she has enjoyed since 2008. She performs with the duo Deux Panie throughout the Pioneer Valley. She also builds classical guitars in her studio in Erving, MA.
