A proud graduate of a women’s college, Jen Brock has dedicated her career to marketing communications for educational institutions and non-profit organizations. She is recognized for an extraordinary capacity to build high-performing teams and her ability to translate institutional strategy into purposeful and targeted storytelling.
Jen joined Mount Holyoke College in 2022 as Associate Vice President for Marketing and Communications and was appointed Vice President for Marketing and Communications in July 2025. Before joining Mount Holyoke, she served as Chief Communications Officer for Marietta City Schools, a charter International Baccalaureate public school district in the Atlanta area. Earlier in her career, Jen worked with the design and brand agency EM2, providing strategic consulting and managing client relations for organizations such as Spelman College, Clemson University, Springmont School (which she helped rename), and the YMCA of Metro Atlanta. She has also led marketing and communications for both graduate and PK–12 independent schools.
Born and raised in Southern California, Jen considers Disneyland her happiest place on Earth, with a University of Georgia football game (Go Dawgs!) a close second. She and her husband, Jon, are the proud parents of a college student, a law school student, and a very spoiled cat. Deeply committed to education and equity, Jen frequently speaks about her family’s experience in the Japanese American incarceration camps of World War II, previously served as Vice Chair of the board of Pride and Less Prejudice, sits on the Advisory Board for the National Transgender Leadership Conference, and volunteers as a mentor with the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
