Josh Powers

he/him

  • Assistant Director of Public Affairs & Community Engagement

With a journalism and marketing background, Josh Powers has spent his career creating innovative campaigns with a “try any idea once” attitude. His work has opened new avenues of expansion and brought local and national attention in each of his last roles.

Before joining Mount Holyoke College, Josh spent five and a half years as the Marketing Coordinator for the Loomis Communities, a non-profit senior living organization with locations in the Connecticut River Valley. His marketing campaigns led to national media attention during the COVID-19 pandemic, and to Loomis being named the best retirement community by local publications for the last five years.

Born and raised in New Hampshire, Josh has called New England his home his whole life. When not working, you can find Josh and his wife Gina (a graduate of Mount Holyoke’s graduate program) out hiking, kayaking, camping or spending time with their two rambunctious dogs River and Bruin.
