Kristine Rose serves as Assistant Director of Community-Based Learning Student Employment and Program Compliance in the Weissman Center for Leadership. She manages CBL’s off-campus student employment partnerships and placements, including those supported through the Federal Work-Study Community Service Program, helping expand students’ access to meaningful work opportunities. Her work includes cross-campus coordination, advance planning, compliance, and risk management support for community-engaged learning and work experiences.
Earlier in her career at Mount Holyoke, Kris held several roles within the Community-Based Learning Program, including Youth Partnerships Coordinator, Senior Administrative Assistant, and Program Coordinator.
Kris later joined Bard College as Program & Continuing Education Coordinator for BPI Bard Microcollege in Holyoke, Massachusetts. There, she coached adult learners in identifying their goals and navigating next steps, including transfer applications, career exploration, and job searches. She developed new partnerships and sustained existing relationships with local organizations and bachelor’s degree institutions, connecting students to employment, internship, and transfer opportunities.
Kris returned to Mount Holyoke in 2023 to continue her work with CBL, eventually moving into her current role as Assistant Director.
Across her work, Kris has developed an interest in how thoughtful systems, collaborative partnerships, and effective operations can strengthen learning and expand access. Guided by CBL’s commitment to restorative and relational community engagement, she approaches her work through a lens of stewardship, translating those values into everyday practices, policies, and systems that balance student experience, community partner capacity, and institutional priorities and responsibilities.
