W. Rochelle Calhoun ’83, President-Elect of the Alumnae Association Board of Trustees

W. Rochelle Calhoun ’83, Princeton, New Jersey, is the vice president for campus life at Princeton University. She is the former executive director of the Alumnae Association of Mount Holyoke College and held several student affairs positions at MHC, including assistant dean of students, director of diversity and inclusion, associate dean of the college and acting dean of the college. Before joining Princeton she was dean of students and vice president for student affairs at Skidmore College. She currently serves as president of the board of directors of the McCarter Theatre and is a member of The Paul Robeson House Advisory Committee in Princeton, New Jersey. She also serves on the Corporation Visiting Committee for the Division of Student Life at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Calhoun majored in theater and politics at Mount Holyoke and has an MFA in theater from Columbia University. Former volunteer positions within the Alumnae Association include membership on the Black Alumnae Conference Committee, the ALANA committee ,the Fellowship Committee and the Classes and Reunions Committee. She is also a former class agent and reunion gift caller. She received the Mary Lyon Award in 1995, the Medal of Honor in 2008, and the Elizabeth Topham Kennan Award in 2018.
