Willie Perreault

Willie Perreault joined Mount Holyoke in January of 2023 as a staff member working to support all departments contained within the Science Center. His primary responsibilities are keeping the equipment and laboratory spaces in the Science Center running smoothly. He also works with students, staff, and faculty to showcase Mount Holyoke's impressive natural history collection in the displays found throughout the Science Center.

Prior to joining Mount Holyoke, Willie completed his Ph.D. and postdoc at Stanford University in Chemical Physics, studying the control of molecular interactions at the quantum scale using coherent techniques to prepare specific rovibrational states. This work gave him a deep understanding of design, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex laboratory instrumentation and equipment, as well as an expertise in experimental techniques in chemistry and physics and a love for research. He brings all of these things here to Mount Holyoke where he is a resource to everyone in their scientific work.
