Mount Holyoke recognized as a top college by Princeton Review

Mount Holyoke ranks among the top 25 colleges and universities in categories ranging from academic excellence and financial access to campus facilities. The Princeton Review rankings are based on college students’ ratings of their schools.

The Princeton Review released its annual “Best Colleges” rankings for 2027, with Mount Holyoke College earning recognition across multiple categories

The rankings highlight the value and impact of a Mount Holyoke education: The College ranked No. 6 for “Top 20 Best Schools for Making an Impact (Private Schools),” No. 18 for “Top 20 Best Schools for Financial Aid (Private Schools),” No. 20 for “Lots of Race/Class Interaction” and No. 21 for “Professors Get High Marks.” Mount Holyoke also ranked No. 5 for “Their Students Love These Colleges.” The College’s campus and facilities ranked highly, including No. 4 for “Most Beautiful Campus” and No. 8 for both “Best College Dorms” and “Best College Library.” Mount Holyoke ranked No. 16 for “Best Campus Food.” 

Student engagement also received high marks. Mount Holyoke ranked No. 4 for “LGBTQ-Friendly,” No. 6 for both “Green Matters: Everyone Cares About Conservation” and “Most Politically Active Students” and No. 11 for “Most Active Student Government.” Student media also stood out, ranking No. 12 for both “Best College Newspaper” and “Best College Radio Station.”

Only about 15% of America’s 2,400 four-year colleges are profiled in “The Best 392 Colleges: 2027 Edition.” The Princeton Review bases its rankings on data from the company’s surveys of 172,000 students at the 392 schools in the book.
