Mandy Hart named dean of admission

The incoming dean of admission at Mount Holyoke College will start July 14, 2025.
Mandy Hart, deputy director of admission at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, has been appointed the dean of admission at Mount Holyoke College.
In her current role as a deputy director at Washington University, Hart leads a dynamic team that manages all recruitment initiatives including rural outreach, underrepresented student access, counselor relations and fly-in programs. Hart’s appointment, which is effective July 14, 2025, was announced by Robin Randall, vice president for enrollment management, to whom she will report.
“Mandy has more than a decade of experience in selective admission, overseeing recruitment initiatives and leading innovative programs that drive student access,” Randall said. “Our strategic plan, MHC Forward, calls for the College to attract and retain a diverse student body that will benefit from and contribute to our mission, vision and values, and Mandy is incredibly prepared to meet this moment.”
Hart started her higher education admission career in 2009 as an admission counselor at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, before becoming assistant director of the university’s honors program in 2011. In 2013, she was appointed associate dean of admission and multicultural education at Salve Regina University in Newport, Rhode Island. In 2014, Hart became the associate dean of admission and coordinator of diversity outreach at Amherst College. She began her current role at Washington University in 2023.
“It’s wonderful to return to the Five College Consortium and western Massachusetts,” Hart said. “Mount Holyoke College has a long-standing reputation for empowering women and others marginalized on the basis of their genders as well as a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive academic environment, which resonates deeply with my own values.”
Hart holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Bucknell University and a master’s degree in student affairs in higher education from Miami University. Witt/Kieffer was the College's partner in this search.
