Mount Holyoke earns top rankings by The Princeton Review

The Princeton Review has released its “Best 391 Colleges” for 2026. The list, which is based on college students’ ratings of their schools, ranks Mount Holyoke College highly for campus beauty, faculty, the library, financial aid and more.

Mount Holyoke College is one of the top colleges in the country for 2026, according to The Princeton Review. Mount Holyoke ranked among the top 20 colleges and universities in campus beauty, library services, financial aid, faculty and more.

Mount Holyoke College ranked No. 4 for “Best College Library,” as well as No. 6 for “Best Schools for Making an Impact,” No. 14 for “Great Financial Aid” and No. 17 for “Professors Get High Marks.” 

Additionally, Mount Holyoke's iconic campus was ranked No. 2 for "Most Beautiful Campus” and No. 13 for "Best College Dorms.” The students were also recognized for their engagement, being ranked No 1. for "Most Politically Active Students,” No. 2 for “Most Politically Liberal Students” and No. 8 for "Most Active Student Government." Student media was also rated highly and was ranked No. 5 for “Best College Radio Station” and No. 8 for “Best College Newspaper.”

Only about 15% of America’s 2,400 four-year colleges are profiled in “The Best 391 Colleges: 2026 Edition.” The Princeton Review chooses the colleges based on data it collects annually from surveys of more than 2,000 college administrators about their institutions’ academic offerings, as well as input from college advisors and admissions experts. The company also reviews data from surveys of college students, who report on their experiences.
