Jordan Lassonde ’16

Jordan Lassonde serves as the associate director of the Speaking, Arguing, and Writing (SAW) Program in the Weissman Center for Leadership. A Mount Holyoke alum from the class of 2016, Jordan’s history with the SAW Program began when they were a student and hired as a SAW Peer Mentor in 2013. Jordan returned to Mount Holyoke as staff in 2019 and has held various academic affairs roles all centered around enhancing the student experience. 

Across these roles, Jordan has focused on experiential learning through student employment and how students develop the professional skills needed to succeed upon graduation. Beyond highlighting professional development, Jordan mentors students as they navigate their academic and post-academic pathways.

Jordan brings a strong background in literature and communication to her work, fostering  a community of support for students as they engage with and develop their critical thinking, argumentation, and writing skills. Jordan enjoys collaborating with her colleagues as they imagine and develop cross-curricular connections, emphasizing the importance of writing skills across the disciplines.

In further service to the MHC community, Jordan was elected to Staff Council in 2022 and served as co-chair through 2023. Jordan joined the MHC AI Working Group during the 25-26 academic year and served as co-chair for the Student Experience sub-group.
