Sarah Bent

Prior to joining the PaGE team, Bent was a third and fourth grade teacher at New Hingham Regional Elementary School in Chesterfield, MA. She also worked as a visiting instructor for both the Master of Arts in Teaching and Master of Arts in Teaching Mathematics programs here at Mount Holyoke College. She developed the Math Leadership Program’s microburst series, a free online professional learning series for administrators. She was also an adjunct faculty member at Westfield State University.

She recently served as a collaborating teacher for a National Science Foundation (NSF) funded research project, “Using Routines as a Strategy for Developing Elementary Students’ Conception of Proof.” Videos of Sarah’s classroom teaching have been used around the country for professional learning.
