Growing as both an educator and as a student by being a part of the EL program

Alex Tancrell and Jacob Rivers from the Williston Northampton School joined our 3-day M.A.T. orientation in EL Education.

Alex Tancrell and Jacob Rivers from the Williston Northampton School — who are enrolled in our Master of Arts in Teacher Leadership, Independent Schools program — joined us for the 2018 Slice, our 3-day M.A.T. orientation in EL Education.

Alex reflected after the experience, "As a teacher, this model or technique is one that I would like to use in my English classroom. Normally, when I go to professional development, I leave with all these great ideas but find it hard to implement them into my everyday practice. Since we directly modeled what to do, as the student, I can see how successful and practical it is to use what we learned in the SLICE. I feel I have grown as both an educator and as a student from being a part of the EL program.”
