Mount Holyoke earns spot on Princeton Review’s Financial Aid Honor Roll
The College is one of just 22 schools nationwide, and the only women’s college, to receive the Princeton Review’s highest possible financial aid score, the latest recognition of Mount Holyoke's investment in access and affordability.
The Princeton Review has named Mount Holyoke College to its 2027 Financial Aid Honor Roll, recognizing the College as one of just 22 schools nationwide, out of 631 institutions evaluated, to receive the organization’s highest possible Financial Aid Rating of 99. Other institutions named to the honor roll include The University of Chicago, Amherst College and Harvard College.
The honor roll accolade adds to a string of strong marks for Mount Holyoke in The Princeton Review’s “Best 392 Colleges” guide, where the College has also been recognized in recent years for its faculty and campus beauty.
This distinction comes just one year after the 2025 announcement of the Mount Holyoke Commitment: U.S. students with total family income up to $150,000 and typical assets pay no tuition at Mount Holyoke, one of the most generous thresholds of its kind in the country. The Commitment builds on the College’s longstanding pledge to meet 100% of every student’s calculated financial need, and it’s paired with competitive merit scholarships for students at every income level. There is no fee to apply to Mount Holyoke College.
Mandy Hart, dean of admission, said this recognition reflects what is top of mind for applicants and their families. “Cost is often the first question we get from prospective students,” Hart said. “Being named to this honor roll gives families an independent, national validation of what we tell them every day: from robust financial aid and the Mount Holyoke Commitment to the fact that there’s no fee to apply, we’re committed to reducing the financial barriers that can keep talented students from seeing themselves at Mount Holyoke.”
The Princeton Review’s Financial Aid Honor Roll is drawn from the 631 colleges profiled in the company’s “Best 392 Colleges” guide for 2027. It recognizes colleges that earned a Financial Aid Rating of 99, the highest possible score.
