Veterans Benefits

The Department of Veterans Affairs administers a wide variety of education benefit programs for veterans and their dependents. Mount Holyoke assists students in taking full advantage of these benefits. The links below provide information about the following education benefit programs:

Post-9/11 GI Bill® (Chapter 33)
For veterans or dependents on active duty after 9/11/2001

Yellow Ribbon Benefit
Additional benefit to veterans or dependents on active duty after 9/11/2001

Montgomery GI Bill® (Chapter 30)
For veterans on active duty prior to 9/11/2001

Survivors and Dependents Assistance (DEA)
For dependents of certain veterans

Financial Planning

Veterans benefits, including housing allowances and books stipends sent directly to the student, will be treated as other outside scholarships for the purposes of determining remaining institutional grant eligibility. Frances Perkins Scholarships will be reduced by the amount of veterans tuition benefits.
