Twenty-Fifth Reunion Giving
Your Twenty-Fifth Reunion is a milestone. Make it count. Milestone year. Milestone gift.

Celebrate 25 years of Mount Holyoke memories
Your twenty-fifth reunion is more than a celebration — it’s a milestone to reflect on how Mount Holyoke has shaped your journey. It’s a chance to honor the friendships, professors and lessons that still guide you today — and to celebrate the future by ensuring today’s students have the same opportunities to learn, grow and lead.
What is the twenty-fifth reunion gift?
Your twenty-fifth reunion is a milestone moment — and your twenty-fifth Reunion gift is a milestone gift.
We invite you to consider making your best gift yet in honor of this milestone. By doing so, you:
- Celebrate your journey and the role Mount Holyoke has played in your life.
- Fuel the future by supporting students who will carry Mount Holyoke’s mission forward.
- Show your class spirit and the power of what we can achieve together.
Tools to stretch your impact
Making your best gift doesn’t have to mean giving all at once. Tools such as sustaining monthly gifts and multiyear pledges make it possible to increase your giving in a way that’s manageable:
- Monthly sustaining gifts — set an automatic amount each month ($50 per month adds up to $600 a year).
- Multiyear pledges — commit to a total amount spread over up to five years ($2,500 over five years is $500 per year).
Every gift counts — in this milestone year, we invite you to step up in honor of your twenty-fifth.
What counts toward your twenty-fifth reunion class gift?
All gifts and pledges to The Mount Holyoke Fund made between July 1 and June 30 of your twenty-fifth Reunion year count toward your class total. Multiyear pledges made in your twenty-fifth Reunion year also count in full, even if fulfilled after Reunion.

Imagine the impact if every classmate makes their best gift this year — together, your generosity will enhance the experience of all students and faculty across campus.

A donor advised fund (DAF) is a type of giving program sponsored and administered by many community foundations and investment companies. It combines very favorable tax benefits with the flexibility to conveniently support Mount Holyoke College. An increasingly popular charitable vehicle, a DAF is an excellent way to simplify your charitable giving and facilitate your strategic philanthropic goals.
How do donor advised funds work?
With a DAF, charitably inclined individuals, families and businesses make irrevocable gifts to organizations that sponsor DAF programs (e.g., Fidelity Investments, Charles Schwab or a local community foundation) and may take an immediate tax deduction. Donors can then recommend grants over time to IRS-qualified 501(c)(3) public charities, such as Mount Holyoke College. DAFs also allow donors to approach their charitable giving thoughtfully by involving other family members or colleagues in their philanthropic decisions. Most DAFs accept donations of long-term appreciated securities and other assets, and donors can advise how the funds are invested; this could potentially allow for tax-free growth, which could result in more money for your charity.
Important steps
- Establish a DAF through an investment advisor, broker or local community foundation. Take an immediate tax deduction.
- Fund your DAF with almost any type of asset, including cash and/or securities, interests in closely held businesses, mineral rights and more. Then, choose an investment program (investment growth is typically tax-free). You can make additional transfers into your DAF at any time.
- Recommend grants from your DAF to Mount Holyoke College. If you choose Fidelity Investments or Charles Schwab as your DAF sponsor, visit the DAF direct link to recommend a grant. Otherwise, contact your DAF sponsor to initiate a grant to Mount Holyoke.
- Mount Holyoke’s tax ID number is 04-2103578 (The Trustees of Mount Holyoke College).
What are the advantages of a donor advised fund?
- Simplicity — the DAF sponsor handles all record keeping, disbursements and tax receipts.
- Tax-efficiency — contributions you make to your DAF are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by federal law (consult your tax advisor for advice specific to your situation), and any investment growth in the DAF is typically tax-free.
- Family legacy — a DAF is a powerful way to build or continue a tradition of family philanthropy.
- Low costs — a DAF normally has low or no startup costs or transaction fees.
All gifts from your DAF count toward alum participation and go directly to support the mission of Mount Holyoke College.
When you initiate a gift from your DAF to Mount Holyoke College, you can choose to be recognized or remain anonymous. Please note that anonymous DAF gifts cannot be credited toward class giving or alum participation totals. If you wish for your gift to be counted in either of these ways, please contact Maura Campbell and let her know you have made a gift through a DAF. You may still remain anonymous on all published donor lists.
