MHC leaders named among Washington’s most powerful women
Three members of the Mount Holyoke College community were named to Washingtonian’s 2026 list of the 300 most powerful women in Washington, recognizing their leadership in philanthropy, government affairs and education.
Mount Holyoke College alums Adrienne Arsht ’63 and Candida Wolff ’86 and trustee Roberta (Bobbie) Cordano were named to Washingtonian’s 2026 list of the 300 most powerful women in Washington.
Arsht, a noted philanthropist, was recognized for her contributions to philanthropy. The eleventh woman admitted to the Delaware bar, Arsht went on to a groundbreaking career as an attorney and business leader. She returned to Mount Holyoke in 2019 to speak at the College’s one hundred eighty-second Commencement.
Wolff, managing director and head of global government affairs at Citigroup, was recognized in the lobbying, advocacy and think tanks category. She received an Achievement Award from the Alum Association of Mount Holyoke College in 2016.
Cordano, president of Gallaudet University and a Mount Holyoke trustee, was recognized for her leadership in education.
