Drawing inspiration from a year abroad.
My major reflected my interest in travel and intercultural communication. I hope to work in public service as well as become a translator or interpreter one day.
I draw inspiration from my experiences at MHC, particularly from my year abroad. I studied abroad in Seville, Spain, where in the classroom I learned more about immigration, and outside of class saw the reality of it.
During the tail end of my year abroad, I realized I wanted to work towards a career in public service, aimed at working with migrating people. After graduation, I've taken a couple years to work, recharge, and sort out my next step(s). I moved to Denver, Colorado last year to work and play.
