Kaneka Turner is an independent elementary math specialist who resides in Charlotte, NC. She has been serving math education for more than 22 years in roles ranging from second-grade teacher to district elementary math specialist. Kaneka is a graduate of the inaugural cohort of Mount Holyoke College's Masters of Arts in Mathematics Teaching program. She delights in the confusion, inquiry, and resolution that teaching and learning mathematics offers. Kaneka's commitment to revising negative narratives around the teaching and learning of math is only surpassed by her drive for combatting racism in math education.
