Honoring student leadership and achievement

Mount Holyoke College students gathered to be honored by the community for their leadership and service to others.

At Mount Holyoke College, students build skills and connections for a lifetime of purposeful leadership. On April 30, 2025, they were honored in Chapin Auditorium for their leadership skills and community service.

“This is truly one of my favorite nights of the entire academic year because we get to honor you. We get to honor all the good work that you do on campus all the time,” said Vice President for Student Life and Dean of Students Marcella Runell. “So, first and foremost, I would like to be amongst the first to congratulate you all for being nominees. Your hard work and your dedication are truly inspiring, and this evening is all about celebrating you.”

President Danielle R. Holley also shared her admiration for MHC students. “I look out on this audience, and so many of you are familiar to me,” she said. “I’ve seen the way that you are leading on our campus, whether it’s by leading the TGNC10 working group, by being a presidential ambassador, by starting a new law journal on campus or [a] mock trial team, or [by] working to coordinate so many of the amazing cultural events that we host here in Mount Holyoke. Every student in this room has stepped forward to lead.”
