Public Safety and Service Staff

Public Safety and Service staff are responsible for the safety and security of our communities, including:

  • crime prevention programming
  • investigations
  • patrol and response services
  • assistance to our faculty, staff, students and visitors

Meet our staff

The Mount Holyoke College Public Safety team brings together highly trained professionals dedicated to the safety, dignity, and well-being of our campus community.

Our full-time officers are POST-certified, meeting rigorous state requirements for professional law enforcement, while our dispatchers are APCO-certified to ensure exceptional, compassionate emergency communication.

Beyond these foundational credentials, our team is deeply invested in holistic community care. Every staff member undergoes annual training in civil rights, diversity, and equitable practices, as well as life-saving medical first-responder skills. Additionally, several members of our department hold specialized state certifications as sexual assault investigators, allowing us to provide sensitive, trauma-informed support when our community needs it most.
