Lori Kilburn ’86

In all aspects of her life, Lori Kilburn ’86 strives to be “clear and graceful” — a descriptor she remembers well from the instruction page in Mount Holyoke College’s blue exam books. That’s why the simplicity of a deferred gift annuity appealed to her as a way to give back to the College, receive tax benefits today and enjoy steady payments in the future.


Betty Ann Allen ’72 and Emilyann Nault ’19

Elizabeth (“Betty Ann”) Allen ’72 and Emilyann Nault ’19 share how Mount Holyoke College, internships and other experiential learning opportunities prepared them for career success. Emilyann serves as programme manager for the Movement and Rehabilitation (MoveR) Digital Health and Care Hub at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. Betty Ann was a petroleum geologist for Shell Oil. A former trustee and faculty member of Mount Holyoke, Betty Ann is an ardent supporter of internships and a member of the Mary Lyon Society.

Cyndy Curry ’63

As a clinical geneticist, Cyndy Curry ’63 has honed the ability to recognize patterns amid complex clinical presentations. She intends to continue Mount Holyoke’s pattern of preparing students for a complex world through a gift from her IRA to establish a charitable gift annuity — an act that both benefits the College and provides her with steady payments.
