Mount Holyoke College had everything that senior J Farrington ’26 was looking for, including a psychology program that could be an intellectual home.
Mount Holyoke College student Yurim Oh ’26 and her international, interdisciplinary team used behavioral science, computer science and psychology to tackle the AWS Case Competition, bridging the gap between cutting-edge AI technology and critical public trust.
Mount Holyoke College senior Rachel Katzenberg ’25 said, “At Mount Holyoke, I 100% found a good community … a large community that wants to help me and see me succeed.”
“When I got my acceptance letter from Mount Holyoke, it felt like I was being introduced to a community that genuinely wanted me to be part of it,” said Mount Holyoke College senior Emmanuella Umoye ’25.
Mount Holyoke College senior Grace Jaeeun Lee ’25 said, “Mount Holyoke has a very collaborative community, a very accepting environment, which helped with [my] confidence. Even if I bring just a little to the table, I know my peers will have my back.”
“I feel more confident and open-minded, open to doing things I would have been afraid to try before. I feel ready to take on challenges,” said Mount Holyoke College senior Sumaiya Jahan ’25.
Mount Holyoke College springie Callie Lantz ’27 is a committed psychology major. Since coming to MHC, she’s been able to broaden her horizons and explore the problem-solving thrills of calculus and computer science.
“I talk with friends who are not Mount Holyoke students, and they have limited research experience. But here, I’ve done research with two advisors in two different departments.”
“The supportive environment and focus on people and humanity at Mount Holyoke prepared me for the next steps of my career, which will also focus on the well-being of humanity.”
“I really do think that any people skills I have, I owe to this job. I feel like it also gave me confidence that I did not have before.”
