Mount Holyoke College celebrated the class of 2026 at its one hundred eighty-ninth Commencement and marked the occasion with remarks from trailblazing alums and speaker Beverly Guy Sheftall.

The Fimbel Maker & Innovation Lab at Mount Holyoke College held its annual Spring Showcase, featuring a wide array of projects from a broad range of classes.

Celine Falcón-Geist ’25 is a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Senegal and credits her time in Mount Holyoke College’s teaching licensure program for her current success.

Tiko Dolidze ’26, a senior at Mount Holyoke College, and Mariam Beshidze ’27, a junior at Amherst College, have been awarded a Projects for Peace grant for their initiative that will collect oral histories from Georgian student protestors.

Mount Holyoke College student Oluwafadeyemi Testimony Akinkuolie-Ibidapo ’27 is an awardee of this year’s Project for Peace grants from Middlebury College. She will launch a year-round food pantry in her hometown.

Cerebro 101 is an initiative led by Mount Holyoke College faculty Marta Sabariego and Nieves Romero-Díaz that teaches dual-language elementary students about neuroscience and behavior.

Trailblazing Black feminist scholar Beverly Guy Sheftall will be the primary speaker at the Mount Holyoke College Commencement. Two extraordinary Mount Holyoke alums, Leslie Anne Miller ’73 and Maria Z. Mossaides ’73, will also be honored.

Mount Holyoke College students Molly DeLuca ’26, Marley Hollen ’28 and Abigail Ding ’29 got to shadow stage managers for the touring production of the musical “Suffs,” which features alum Tami Dahbura ’84.

Mount Holyoke College alum Weijing Liu ’22 is the College’s second Schwarzman Scholar and looks forward to exploring her questions about global affairs.
